WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY

Stogumber Station is one of the ten stations of the West Somerset Railway, which spans almost 23 miles, travelling between Bishops Lydeard and the coast at Minehead. The railway has been a heritage line since 1976, and boasts being the longest gauge heritage railway in the UK.

The station is a short walk through the village from Hall Farm. A few hours exploring the sea side town of Minehead and several stations along the line, which takes roughly two and a half hours for a full round trip, results in an interesting and novel experience for children and adults alike.
